The sheer quality of the tracks in AC means I really really want to master every inch of the track, in pcars they seem more throwaway and half remain untouched. There is little gap between, have grip and no grip, once you've realised its already too late.Ĭontent wise I used to think pcars won out, but lately I've been thinking this isn't true. An example of its failings are that you cannot turn a Renault Clio without sliding at slow (sub 30mph) speeds with cold tires.
Don't get me wrong I've had fun racing in it, but the fun didn't come from the pure joy of driving like assetto. Project cars handling model is wildly inconsistent. In a real car there are many more forces acting upon you than what's translated through the column. It doesn't just emulate steering column movement which IMO is a poor method for racing sims.
