To reinforce the productivity aspect, Archos is shipping the XS2 with OfficeSuite Pro 6 pre-installed. It acts as a kickstand for the tablet, and as a full keyboard with physical keys.

The stand out feature here though is the cover which allows the tablet to act like a notebook. The processor should also ensure snappy performance. While the screen resolution doesn't stand out next to many recent releases, it is by no means terrible.

The new tablet features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display, Android 4.2, a quad-core 1.6 GHz A9 processor with quad-core Mali 400 MP4 graphics, 2 GB of RAM, 2 MP front and rear cameras, a microSD slot, a mini HDMI port, front-facing speakers, Bluetooth, and GPS. Microsoft may be proud of its Windows RT OS and its new Surface 2 tablet, but Archos shows us just how inexpensive a tablet with productivity accessories can be with the 101 XS2.
